Anastasia Kim is a third-generation, Italian-American hairstylist. Throughout her diverse 16-year career in the beauty industry, a strong understanding of scalp massage and health has been the most consistent theme. Her 4-Point System, which she calls The Scalpology Method, focuses on: Effleurage, Petrissage, Friction, and Tapotement. Within each area, she incorporates custom exfoliation, detoxification and balancing treatments based on individual needs. This approach is rooted in Italian tradition with Eastern influence incorporated throughout . 

Anastasia's motto "A clean scalp is a healthy scalp" was solidified after working at Serenity Salon in SoHo and Younghee Salon in Tribeca before the pandemic. At the end of 2020, she opened her own color studio in Lower East Side and she is now excited to shift into her latest niche focus.

Her vision is to have multiple Scalpology Spas throughout NYC and the US where licensed hairstylists can seamlessly integrate into this specialty. The ultimate goal is to have the operation 100% automated, where all information is exchanged via tablet on-location or online at your convenience—creating room for a completely silent experience. UNTIL THEN, she is pleased to have you join her journey as she grows into this model.

Anastasia will currently be taking appointments at her existing 3-station/2-sink salon. There may be another stylist working within the space at the time of your appointment. If this is the case, you can expect a more relaxed salon environment where light conversation and soft-tempo music can be heard. As Anastasia builds her new Scalpology clientele, you will see the atmosphere shift into a tranquil spa by the end of 2025 once she decides between renovation or relocation.
